Aegis Waste Management
Aegis Waste Management is a division of Aegis Environmental. Our Waste Management division provides on-site waste management services to producers of organic waste, food waste and manure.
The company is situated in Centurion, Gauteng but we can provide services to other parts of the province and country.
We are driven to provide our clients with waste management services that reduce costs, improves environmental impact and contributes to social well-being. We develop and use innovative solutions and technologies for the benefit of our clients, their community and the environment.
About Us
The Problem of Organic Waste
Around the world, we waste nearly a third of all food, or over 1 billion tons (fao.org). This waste means lost resources such as water, electricity and fuel. Once thrown away, this waste releases greenhouse gases, pollutes groundwater and forms a breeding ground for pests and pathogens. Worst of all, this wasted food means people go hungry.
Our Solution to Organic Waste
Our solution is to recover as much of the resources from waste as is possible. We have developed unique solutions that can recover recyclables, water, nutrients from waste.
Our Services
On-site Waste Management Services
We provide on-site waste management services to companies, especially those that produce large amounts of organic waste such as fresh produce markets, food manufacturers and packagers, hotels, restaurants and others.
We first sort and remove recyclables such as plastic, paper and metal which are sent for recycling. We then take the remaining organic waste and reduce its volume and weight. This significantly reduces the cost of food waste management and reduces the need to landfill.
Our waste management system fits in standard 3, 6 and 12m shipping containers and are designed with each client’s specific operations in mind.
We can reduce the total waste volume by up to 94%.
